Gia Fleur and Miranda Chopping Team Up for New Podcast: "Two Villains, One Microphone..."

Reality TV's biggest "villains" are joining forces.

Married at First Sight star Gia Fleur and Farmer Wants a Wife's Miranda Chopping have announced they're launching a podcast together, teasing it with the caption: "Two villains, one microphone..."

The idea is already dividing fans, but after speaking with Gia, I have to admit, I actually think this could be really interesting.

When I asked Gia about the podcast, she told me:

"It's to give villains the platform coming off these shows."

She also explained:

"Let them share their story in a safe space without being bullied or grilled like the Stan show did to me and others."

Whether you agreed with Gia and Miranda during their seasons or not, I actually think there's something refreshing about this idea.

Reality TV only shows us one chapter of someone's life, and it's often edited into a storyline. What interests me most isn't necessarily what happened on the show, it's what happens afterwards.

This podcast gives viewers the chance to see how these so-called "villains" actually move once filming is over. Without producers, edits or dramatic music, we'll get to hear them speak for themselves and decide whether they were misunderstood or whether the audience got it right all along.

Some people may tune in hoping for the drama. Others might be curious to hear a different side of the story. Either way, it's a concept I haven't really seen before, and I'll definitely be interested to see where it goes.

Don't get me wrong, I still don't believe in "villain edits." I'll always say it's the individual's own behaviour that got them labelled the villain, and that's what they need to take accountability for instead of blaming the edit. However, one thing's for sure: if you're going to call it "Two Villains, One Microphone," you've definitely got my attention.
